What I Want From Joe Biden!

A HUGE EFFORT from President Biden to right some of the wrongs that have existed in America for so many years, is what I want from our new Commander-In-Chief.

Income Equality Is Very Important

A $15 per hour minimum wage is a ‘must do’ in order to give low level workers a fighting chance of providing financially, for their families. The people on the front line, including health workers, low paying service employees, emergency attendants and grocery clerks are in the eye of the storm everyday, risking lives in order to weather Covid-19 Pandemic.

In addition to minimum wage increase, don’t forget to include a Medicare for all; even though it may sound outrageous now, but this is going to happen down the line, so make it sooner rather than later.

Raising taxes on the rich is necessary when you have billionaires walking around paying no or very little taxes. Our Tax Structure is due an overhaul to form any chance of economic revitalization; and with that said putting people to work in higher paying jobs is where you bring down the imbalance of incomes. We often speak of infrastructure jobs, repairing and building roads, bridges and railroads, but nothing ever come out of these conversations. Make it Happen Joe!

Looking out for the environment is great, but if we can protect the landscape and provide maybe 10k good paying jobs, we should study the possibility of continuing the Keystone Oil Pipeline that runs from Canada and if completed, will connect in different regions as far south as Houston, Texas.

When we distribute aid to the needy whether it’s in the form of $2,000 stimulus checks or extending unemployment benefits, Americans have a chance to succeed in these truly difficult times. But much more than stimulus checks are needed. We need an economic package that will pay suffering low income workers, mostly from communities of color whose income has been dwarfed by the Pandemic, $2,000 a month for 12 months, in addition to the low salaries they have. You campaigned on ‘build our economy back better” as part of your recovery package. American corporations that moved overseas to avoid paying employees a decent wage should have a tariff applied to the product they produce when sold in the USA. But if they are willing to move back they should be given tax relief. You also said the Trump Administration rewarded wealth over work; now the ball is in your court President Biden, show us your moves. Make it happen!

A lot is being asked of our PREZ and you’re probably saying the republicans are going to be a problem. Of course Mitch McConnell and his gang are going to fight you tooth and nail because they are the party of the rich and not the working man. That’s why you have to keep pounding a message of unification and spend more for the poor and a little less on DEFENSE. How many aircraft carriers and jet fighters do we really need? I’m sure Raytheon, Boeing and Lockheed Martin and their lobbying group are not going to take this lying down: But we need a 25% decrease in defense spending for the next four years, and that’s the only way we’re going to lift the income level of the downtrodden.

Eliminate Student Loans Completely

Mister President you said 10k worth of student debt will be discarded when elected; but that’s not enough: Wipe the slate clean and start all over again. The price of a college education should not keep one financially strapped forever. Level the playing field sir, especially when it comes to public universities and community colleges which should be free for everyone. Private universities should be partially funded by the government in order to become affordable.

Our Foreign Policy Should Include Africa

Re-engagement with our global partners that Trump kicked to the curb is a must, not only in Europe and Asia but in Africa too. Your administration should encourage bilateral relations, trade and direct investments in Tanzania, Angola and especially Ghana to name a few countries progressing rapidly, by building dams, power plants, and railroads; and we must compete with China in order to earn their trust. It’s not all about civil wars and extreme corruption on the dark continent; it’s about infrastructure and natural resources we have to compete for. We must repair relations with Ethiopia, because it is the right thing to do after Trump said Egypt should blow up the GERD Dam, and proceeding to suspend 100 million in aid money. Egypt wants complete control of the Nile Waters and simply put Ethiopia is not going to let that happen, especially since more than 75% of the water Egyptians consume is from the Blue Nile out of Ethiopia.

As for China we must deal with them as a major trade partner and our number one competitor, because they are spreading influence over the globe and connecting via roads and railroads from the Far East to Central Europe. They are a well oiled machine picking up steam very fast, as noted by the British after returning Hong Kong from 99 years of westernization. For a while it seemed a problem for new family members to release old western habits and connect with the Communist Party. But after using force they quickly towed the line understanding that Hong Kong is Chinese, speak the same language and are the same people, albeit with a different mindset, temporarily.

I know that’s a lot to ask for Joe: Put your best foot forward and go for it, Full Throttle.
