Blame White Women for Hilary’s Defeat

Never in my wildest dreams did I envision Donald Trump as president of the United States of America.

The controversial New York businessman with questionable business practices insulted his GOP pretenders into submission during the primary, and ditto Hilary in  general election. “Crooked Hilary” became a rallying call for a silent cache of  voters who became unhinged with the sound of her voice, and the mere mention of  her personal email server–attached to classified materials–whether true or not.

Trump’s margin of victory can be attributed to garnering 53% of white women votes to 43% for Clinton. Many of these voters pleaded undecided during the campaign or pledged support for Hilary when polled, but when the ‘moment of truth’ came-they showed their true colors. Simply put she lost without the support of people who knew her best: White women.

Maybe they saw something prevalent in Trump that people of color missed with Hilary: Authenticity. She’s been around politics much longer than her rival. From the state house in Arkansas to the white house as first lady, she was the ultimate Washington insider, with stints as a U.S. senator and Secretary of state. She was a huge hit with minorities, but her connections to Washington and wall street may have been her downfall.

On the flip-side Trump, a former reality TV host and political outsider made a name for himself with vicious attacks on Obama, saying he was born in Kenya and was not a US citizen. He took racism to another level. And even when Obama bowed and showed proof with his birth certificate, his supporters multiplied. There is something fishy here.

He knew there was a groundswell in the white community of working class and middle class voters, along with educated and uneducated voters who are fervently opposed to Obamacare, LGBT rights, immigrants, unfair trade agreements, and lack of good jobs. In other words they want to take their country back and make America White again. They blamed Obama and the democrats for all of society ills. And Donald Trump is the plumber that will fix the problem. They want to build a fence around our southern border and deport all of the purported eleven million illegal immigrants before the fence is sealed. On top of that with the charges of sexual abuse and assaults directed at Trump, one would think he would not get a majority of White women votes. But he did.

The democrats should shoulder some of blame for riding a lame horse

Now that the dust has receded, democratic pundits are inflamed with the names of Donna Brazile and Debbie Wasserman Schultz for plotting and promoting such a flawed candidate to the detriment of heavyweight leftist like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Many are trying to place the blame at the feet of the DNC, with a storm brewing for a progressive liberal like Keith Ellison to take the helm, and move the party forward with a left wing bent.

If Hilary is attempting to place her loss on President Obama for not doing enough to get her elected, she is way off the mark. The President did his job to the tune of motivating nine out of ten African Americans to vote for her. She received 67% of the Hispanic vote.
