Cheney and Kinzinger are only two Republicans on the Jan 6 Panel set up to investigate the issues of that day.
The Wyoming Republican whose father Dick served as VP under BUSH 2 said Trump stoked the Jan 6 revolutionaries, calling them a “loving” crowd, refusing to tell his supporters to stop the madness, and instead he encouraged them to continue the assault on the Senate.
Cheney should be applauded for standing against Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen, and It was ‘A BIG LIE’ that he lost the election. Instead she received fierce criticism from her own party, but she didn’t back down by saying on Twitter “The 2020 election was not stolen. Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our Democratic system.”
Republicans like Jim Jordan, Kevin McCarthy and others are afraid to defend Cheney because Trump will campaign against them during re-election and risk losing. He has them eating out of his hands and they understand how politics work.
Republican voters should release themselves from Trump’s Psychological Mastery in order to save the Grand Old Party from extinction.
