The best way to categorize Mark Lamont Hill is to say he is a Straight Shooter and it doesn’t mean he’s always correct, but more right than wrong and gives an honest opinion that is backed with facts.

When Hill speaks so eloquently against Israeli occupation of Gaza, Jewish leadership in America immediately begin pushing the anti-Semitic button while attempting to destroy his credibility on the national stage. He once said Gaza is an open-air prison and self-determination is restricted by Israeli Military.
CNN didn’t hesitate to fire him in 2018 for comments that were conceived as anti-semitic during an International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinians speech at the United Nations.
Hill said “We have an opportunity to not just offer solidarity in words but to commit to political action, grass roots action, local action and international action that will give us what justice requires and that is a free Palestine from the river to the sea.”
That phrase ‘from the river to the sea’ angered many in the Jewish Community including the Anti-Defamation League(ADL) who didn’t hestitate to condemn his words and CNN for not firing him sooner.
What really angered the ADL is that Hill held such a platform (CNN) to go along with his persuasive oral presentation in favor of the Palestinian cause, was a bit much for Jewish Leaders to digest, so they quickly turned on their financial clout, and demanded his head on a stick for being such a political agitator instead of a political commentator at CNN.
That’s what you get when intelligence meets power, and wouldn’t you know it power usually win; so you don’t have to wonder why Hill is out and Dershowitz, Freeh and other Israeli protaganists are in.
Mark Lamont Hill stands for justice and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. But he hasn’t lost the fight yet because the game is not over.
