Saudi Arabia needs to be less Islamic

Religious diversity is missing in Saudi Arabia and if the ruling party continue to have their way the status quo will remain forever.

The country, located on the Arabian Peninsular is held in high esteem by Muslims globally as the land of two most holiest Mosque in Mecca and Medina.

In addition to being the origin of Islam it is said by the natives that the State is 100 percent Islamic.

Well that’s nice to know since nothing else is allowed to exist in the oil rich desert nation. Christian workers are here but they cannot practice their faith, at least not openly.

No Churches are allowed, and so far Jews are barred from entering the Islamic Kingdom. One religion and two denominations, Sunni and Shia and they have problems gelling. To put it bluntly they hate each other.

To say that Saudi Arabia is a male dominated society is an understatement. Women are fighting for the rights to drive a vehicle. And when they leave the house they must have a male guardian a brother, father or close cousin. They must preserve their honor.

Militarily, the Saudis are next door in Yemen fighting to stop the spread of Shias who are supported by arch enemy Iran. Jews and Christians have a long history in Yemen, try to find one now.

It’s All or nothing for the Wahabbis.

Maybe they should learn from their neighbors to the West, Eritrea and Ethiopia who were two of the oldest Christian countries in the world. Now they are nearly 50 percent Muslim.

Diversity is missing in the Islamic World.
