Hugh Freeze Quits Ole Miss for soliciting Prostitutes Not Escorts

Hugh Freeze resigned as Head Coach of Ole Miss Football, not because he called an escort service as some have proclaimed. He stepped down because he was soliciting prostitutes.

The word Escort has multiple meanings.

“A person, vehicle, ship or aircraft, or a group of these, accompanying another for protection, security, or as a mark of rank” is one definition when Googled.

Another under dictionary.com says “a group of persons, or a single person, accompanying another or others for protection, guidance, or courtesy: An escort of sailors accompanied the queen. The president traveled with a large escort of motorcycle police.”

The term ‘escort service’ doesn’t automatically conjure up illegality. But soliciting a prostitute is illegal in most states. The government should completely differentiate the two, because when you look at it escort has nothing to do with prostitution. In other words escort should mean ‘accompany.’ The word ‘prostitute’ is synonymous with sex.

Political Correctness should be taken off the table when it comes too inserting escort services instead of call girls. It is moving the world oldest profession from the street to a business office, but the act is still the same. Let’s say for the sake of argument Freeze used prostitutes, which is clearly illegal, even in Mississippi. But the first headline was Freeze quits because he called an escort service. Nobody should lose their job for calling an escort service. You should step down for indulging in prostitution. It’s the law.

“We simply cannot accept the conduct in his personal life that we’ve discovered,” Ole Miss chancellor Jeffrey Vitter said, without going into details.

Maybe prostitution should be legalized? Its been here forever and it doesn’t appear to be receding. With legalization comes regulations, because Uncle Sam will take his cut and stringent health codes will have to be instituted. Once legal you can call it any name you want, including Jane Doe Escort Services. But since it’s illegal you have to call it what it is, prostitution.
