The House Bill to Replace ObamaCare is Full of Holes and Won’t Pass Senate

House Republicans giddy attitude about gutting the Affordable Care Act, Obama’s signature piece of legislation may come back to haunt them, if they don’t make improvements in the senate.

By a vote of 217-213 Paul Ryan and his crew awarded President Trump and his rich cronies what they wanted most: A tax break and huge profits for insurance companies. The losers as usual are the poor and disabled, as cuts to medicaid may amount to $880 billion over ten years. Under TrumpCare low income workers may have to shelve out fifty percent of their earnings, unless tax credits are included in a Senate Bill that is being crafted under the guise of Mitch M’Connell.

When Trump stopped Open Enrollment under Obama’s plan twenty four million Americans would lose health coverage under a previous version of the bill. Obama Care made it somewhat affordable for young people who seldom get sick, and affordable for older Americans prone to illness,  That was made possible due to credits, at the expense of higher taxes on the rich and insurance companies.

The House Bill would Take from the Sick and Old give to the Young and Healthy

House leader Paul Ryan is being attacked for killing Americans because they wont be able to afford the high cost of health coverage under the new plan. Under Obama you were penalized for not having health coverage–both young and old. New changes would not require young people to get coverage because they are less likely to get sick. Older people stipends and credits will be eliminated along with medicaid expansion. They will be passed on to his rich wall street buddies and the insurance companies. Young people will no longer subsidize older people.

After voting to change ObamaCare Paul Ryan made a statement to the press: “This bill delivers the promises we have made to the American people.” Immediately protesters gathered at the capital building shouting disapproval at what went down under Ryan’s Watch.

If you’re on Medicaid and deemed healthy enough to work, you should start looking for employment, because you will be allowed to keep health coverage until you can purchase it on the open market.

They gutted pre-existing illness

The new plan would allow insurers to charge more for people with existing health conditions. Specifically, if you went three months without health coverage your premiums will increase by thirty percent  when you attempt to regain coverage. The republican bill will set aside only $8 billion for high risk citizens without adequate coverage.

Democrats are warning senate republicans to make earnest changes to TrumpCare if they expect it to pass the Senate. On the house bill all democrats opposed it, and they were joined by twenty republicans. Many republicans are against the pre-existing illness clause added and elimination of medicaid expansion.

If the republicans don’t get it right in the Senate, this will be a terrible blow to Trump’s presidency.
